About Me

Alice (Jiayang) Xu

New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker #099885

I am a U.S.-licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 11 years of experience in the mental health field, including 5 years as a psychotherapist in New York. I am currently based in Shenzhen, China.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University, triple majoring in Psychology, Philosophy, and Religious Studies, followed by a Master's in Clinical Social Work from New York University. I have also completed a three-year psychoanalytic training program and continue to receive ongoing psychoanalytic supervision. This experience has deepened my appreciation for how vital it is to understand each client's inner world with care and depth.

Over my five years of practicing psychotherapy in New York, I have had the privilege of serving clients from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. Helping clients draw strength from their own cultural heritage has become an essential part of my clinical work. Through a warm, genuine therapeutic relationship, I hope to accompany each client in exploring their inner world and finding their own path to growth.
